Home for the Holidays

Highlights of our first Christmas:

Big Christmas Eve dinner
The "goon"ness that christmas brings
Being Mary & Joseph
(It's okay to laugh at this picture)
Waiting on the stairs to see what santa brought. The suspense is killing us.
Stuffing Stockings for the first time

Waiting to open...one at a time :)

The best Christmas present I have ever received. A violin.
Caleb makes my dreams come true. I bawled.

Temple trip with the fam the day after Christmas
Breakfast at Smittys!
We both got instruments that we don't know how to play yet. But we will be performing next year. :)
Need I say that this was probably the best Christmas of all time. It may be because I spent it with my BFF, and my fam...could be because I get to try and achieve the dream of playing the violin....or maybe every Christmas is the best because it is the happiest time of year. All leading back to the Birth of our Savior. That had to be the happiest time for those that witnessed such a wonderful occasion that they had been waiting for, and to think of the reason why Christmas came to be......No wonder we are all happy this time of year.

We may be sad that the Christmas Season is over, but i'm sure glad that it came to be.

Spreading Holiday Cheer!

I have been dying to post these pictures. We had to wait till our families received our wonderful christmas cards with these lovely pics on them. Whit took them for us at the school studio...it looks like we went and got them professionally done! That is what is so hilarious about it. Whit is amazing and these pics are priceless. I wish I could have video taped our family's reactions to opening the cards. We had a good time, and cabe is a natural at this cheesy stuff...he was enjoying it a little too much!

This is my fav!

We hope you all have a wonderful Holiday Season
filled with Good Cheer!!

David & Edy

If you know me at all, I'd never miss an opp to see or hear David Archuleta sing. Let me tell you this kid is unreal. Voices like that just aren't given to anybody, he was truly blessed to sing. We thoroughly enjoyed it with my whit and her man brady.
As well as landon and SJ. We watched David develop on American Idol together every week. I think he is the only one I have ever voted for.
I have tried and tried to get Caleb to be a fan....and now he is!!
I have to share the cutest first christmas ornament ever created.
And our lovely tree from Kesler's.
One of Caleb's bishops from his mission in Guatemala came to visit us for a few days. His name is Edy. Not gonna lie it was a little awkward being the fact that I don't speak spanish and I get really weird around people who I can't clearly communicate with and I say weird things. And I never really saw the person that Caleb knows in him, until he left us a note when he left. Caleb read it to me and tears streamed down my face. All I got before was "You good cook kelsi" and "Thank you my clothes very clean" but This man is filled with the spirit, filled with wonderful advice, love and gratitude. I never imagined being able to connect with someone from such a different world. But the gospel does that. It is the same everywhere. Brings people together that can't even really communicate. It was wonderful to see the bishop in him that caleb always knew and loved. I would have been a horrible missionary....I would have cried every time I met someone like this, and I was so sad to have him leave. He brought such a wonderful Spirit into our home. I wanted to give him everything.
They both laughed at me whenever I tried to speak spanish...I wanted to ask him if he was hungry but asked if he was man...live and learn.

Novembuurrr What a month!

Better believe we hit the black friday sales. That is also a tradition. There may not be anything we are looking for but to be apart of the madness is always hilarious. 2 years ago we were on the front page of the paper. Last year we were filmed for a christmas ad singing rudolph, this year...not much happened except we hunted down the lady handing out gift bags at the mall. And scott(my bro-in-law) running into shopko heading for the ro ro rapter that was supposed to be a hit...and he was the only one going after it hahaha! but we got what we needed and we were pooped!
It tradition to go help put up christmas trees at the Kesler's market. Cabe was lovin it. And I loved working at the register again. I tell ya its like riding a bike!
Caleb spent an hour fluffing out the branches on this artificial tree.
I on the other hand....didn't take my time.
And this is how it turns out. It's up there on my favorite places list. I know that is kind of weird. Can't beat the Christmas tree smell. My parents let us pick a tree to take home for helping out. Go real or go home. Thats what I say.
Go to KESLER'S for all your Christmas tree needs! :)
(said in the cheesiest way) Located in Blackfoot hehe
This was thanksgiving day. We didn't have all the family in town. But we had the tanner fam and jordan! Thanks mom for a fabulous meal! I am still recovering. We always go bowling on thanksgiving, that is always fun. Can't say that I won...but the effort was there.

The twilight premire: Look at these two twilight nerds.
So fun have the cam2 keslers in town for the weekend
Mist & I: Thanks for the ticket sis! Your the best!
Funny to be at the premire. Everyone is so excited that they laugh at everything! Even when its not even funny. There was a Edward look-a-like there. It was creepy.

IP...Friends...Cabin...SNOW!

We just got back from a super fun trip to Island Park with our friends! Kyle and Callie's family have a beautiful cabin up there and they were so nice to invite us all to go with them!

Around the world Ping Pong
It was so fun to cook in this kitchen!
The boys were in heaven with video games
Some classy sweaters
Sledding behind a truck...may be slightly dangerous...but SO MUCH FUN!
How did no one get hurt?
The group of us FROZEN

We spent lots of time in the theatre room
and I walk into the room to find this....sunday football
These are the last of us who stayed to the bitter end. It was seriously depressing to leave this place. The weekend just wasn't long enough! We had so much fun playing games, in the snow, and just getting to know each other as couples. Girls chat, boys play NBA live, and everyone made delicious meals! And to add that we were pretty much staying in hotel accommodations. Thanks so much Kyle and Callie for a unforgettable weekend!

*A little something that we learned from the game cranium: You can hum "walk this way" by aerosmith for a minute...and no one will know what you are humming. Go ahead try it.
