Reid & Dieter

These 2 little boys were due the same day. Dieter is my brother landon's little boy. His wife Sarah-Jane and I were both trying to get pregnant for a while and it just so happened that our babies ended up being due the same day. I knew for sure that they were both going to be boys. Dieter ended up being born 10 days before Reid. I'm sure he will use that to his advantage their whole lives. ;) My brother and I are 11 years apart but have been really close our whole lives so it is crazy and very cool to me that we have little boys that will be the same age. My sister annie and other brother brett had boys this year too. So we will have 4 boys in the same grade.

This was their first meeting....hilarious. That will be fun to show them when they are older.

Finally the sun was shining in Rexburg. They were soaking it up!

Dieter has him beat in size big time.

See that little side smile on reid's face? haha

So caleb left for San Antonio 5 days before me. I don't recommend that your husband leaves you after you just have a baby :) But my wonderful mother came to the rescue. I went to stay with her.

Then we were off to Texas! My brother Brett was very nice and flew with me and he just made a business trip out of it. He stayed with us for a few days. It is always fun to have him around. Reid was a champ on the airplane. He slept the WHOLE time! I had an empty seat next to me so he could just chill in his carseat.

We are now settled here in San Antonio and so happy to be reunited with dad! Caleb's sister and her family live here so it has been fun to hang out with them. There are lots of great people out here with us and we are looking forward to a fun/hot summer!

Reid Kelly Fullmer

Reid Kelly Fullmer
Born April 27th at 2:49pm
Weighing in at 7 lbs 14 ounces and 21 1/2 inches tall

Love the gown...love the gown.
I was thinking about whether or not I should write down the birth story and I decided to leave that to my journal. All I will say is that the epidural didn't quite work and I felt it all (or so I think) It happened fast though so for that I am grateful. I give props to you natural women!! I don't want to scare anyone that hasn't given birth yet because it really is the most special, exhilarating, spiritual, incredible experience ever and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Caleb was the best coach ever, if I could take away the pain and oxygen mask I would have been laughing my head off at him. He was so completely into it and intrigued beyond belief. We didn't take a birthing class but he would have passed it with an A+. He thought he wouldn't be able to handle it but he took it like a champ. I was so glad to have him there by my side and in my face counting...very very slowly :) or so it seemed. Nothing could have prepared me for that experience and I will never forget it. I have already forgotten what the pain was like but I think that is so I will do it again :) and you better believe I will.

First Bath!

The Happy Family!

Our special feast at the hospital.
I really enjoyed our stay at the hospital and was actually sad to leave...is that weird? You are always safe and taken care of. They have everything you need, and will do anything to make you feel better. Meds, jetted tubs, the yummy ice, maxi pads, dermoplast :) and the food was not bad at all. And there is a button to adjust your bed! Brilliant...since I don't have any ab muscles to sit up by myself.

Have you ever seen such long toes?

If you couldn't tell we are obsessed with him. He has stolen our hearts and has our complete attention 24/7. I still can't believe that he is here and caleb and I are parents. Kind of a scary thought!
He is sleeping and eating like a champ and we couldn't be happier to have our little man here!
Little Reid's Fan Club

But Dad is his #1 Fan

I made caleb write down his thoughts throughout this experience because it has been really special for him. I have only seen caleb cry very few times and holding his son was overwhelming for him. This has changed our life. Everything has a deeper and new meaning...and it all just makes sense.

It's amazing how much love I instantly have for this little one. I thank Heavenly Father everyday for lending me one of his precious ones.
