David & Edy

If you know me at all, I'd never miss an opp to see or hear David Archuleta sing. Let me tell you this kid is unreal. Voices like that just aren't given to anybody, he was truly blessed to sing. We thoroughly enjoyed it with my whit and her man brady.
As well as landon and SJ. We watched David develop on American Idol together every week. I think he is the only one I have ever voted for.
I have tried and tried to get Caleb to be a fan....and now he is!!
I have to share the cutest first christmas ornament ever created.
And our lovely tree from Kesler's.
One of Caleb's bishops from his mission in Guatemala came to visit us for a few days. His name is Edy. Not gonna lie it was a little awkward being the fact that I don't speak spanish and I get really weird around people who I can't clearly communicate with and I say weird things. And I never really saw the person that Caleb knows in him, until he left us a note when he left. Caleb read it to me and tears streamed down my face. All I got before was "You good cook kelsi" and "Thank you my clothes very clean" but This man is filled with the spirit, filled with wonderful advice, love and gratitude. I never imagined being able to connect with someone from such a different world. But the gospel does that. It is the same everywhere. Brings people together that can't even really communicate. It was wonderful to see the bishop in him that caleb always knew and loved. I would have been a horrible missionary....I would have cried every time I met someone like this, and I was so sad to have him leave. He brought such a wonderful Spirit into our home. I wanted to give him everything.
They both laughed at me whenever I tried to speak spanish...I wanted to ask him if he was hungry but asked if he was man...live and learn.

Novembuurrr What a month!

Better believe we hit the black friday sales. That is also a tradition. There may not be anything we are looking for but to be apart of the madness is always hilarious. 2 years ago we were on the front page of the paper. Last year we were filmed for a christmas ad singing rudolph, this year...not much happened except we hunted down the lady handing out gift bags at the mall. And scott(my bro-in-law) running into shopko heading for the ro ro rapter that was supposed to be a hit...and he was the only one going after it hahaha! but we got what we needed and we were pooped!
It tradition to go help put up christmas trees at the Kesler's market. Cabe was lovin it. And I loved working at the register again. I tell ya its like riding a bike!
Caleb spent an hour fluffing out the branches on this artificial tree.
I on the other hand....didn't take my time.
And this is how it turns out. It's up there on my favorite places list. I know that is kind of weird. Can't beat the Christmas tree smell. My parents let us pick a tree to take home for helping out. Go real or go home. Thats what I say.
Go to KESLER'S for all your Christmas tree needs! :)
(said in the cheesiest way) Located in Blackfoot hehe
This was thanksgiving day. We didn't have all the family in town. But we had the tanner fam and jordan! Thanks mom for a fabulous meal! I am still recovering. We always go bowling on thanksgiving, that is always fun. Can't say that I won...but the effort was there.

The twilight premire: Look at these two twilight nerds.
So fun have the cam2 keslers in town for the weekend
Mist & I: Thanks for the ticket sis! Your the best!
Funny to be at the premire. Everyone is so excited that they laugh at everything! Even when its not even funny. There was a Edward look-a-like there. It was creepy.

IP...Friends...Cabin...SNOW!

We just got back from a super fun trip to Island Park with our friends! Kyle and Callie's family have a beautiful cabin up there and they were so nice to invite us all to go with them!

Around the world Ping Pong
It was so fun to cook in this kitchen!
The boys were in heaven with video games
Some classy sweaters
Sledding behind a truck...may be slightly dangerous...but SO MUCH FUN!
How did no one get hurt?
The group of us FROZEN

We spent lots of time in the theatre room
and I walk into the room to find this....sunday football
These are the last of us who stayed to the bitter end. It was seriously depressing to leave this place. The weekend just wasn't long enough! We had so much fun playing games, in the snow, and just getting to know each other as couples. Girls chat, boys play NBA live, and everyone made delicious meals! And to add that we were pretty much staying in hotel accommodations. Thanks so much Kyle and Callie for a unforgettable weekend!

*A little something that we learned from the game cranium: You can hum "walk this way" by aerosmith for a minute...and no one will know what you are humming. Go ahead try it.

Our Halloween Consisted of....

*Footie Pajamas

*College Football

*Guesstures

*Get some crook (the funnest game ever played)

*New Friends
*More footie pjs

*Maybe a little more
*The Cowboy & Indian
So the Mcnair's were so nice to have us over for a lil Halloween Party, ashley made delicious homemade crispy cream donuts and the have to have homemade root-beer. We had SO MUCH fun playing games, eating, and chatting (leading to really random conversations). Crazy what lots of candy and late at night does to people. We probably all know a little too much about each other :)
It wore that cowboy and indian right out!

Isn't Halloween hilarious!?
You can get away with really anything and not even feel embarrassed.

A Little Taste of Parenthood

My brother and his wife took a trip to DisneyWorld (not fair) for a week and we had their 2 boys for the week. Do we look capable of this?

Lots of football took place.
And lots of beat downs took place.
Things we aren't used to:
1. Children waking you up in the night because "I gotta go poop."
2. Not using the word "mean" because I will get my mouth washed out with soap.
3. Taking 2 boys to a halloween carnival in costumes that are too small for them. (wish I had a picture)
4. Kids wanting EVERYTHING they see at the store.
5. Homework with a Kindergartner.(Wish mine was that easy)
6. 8 o'clock bedtimes (Why do they hate it so bad?)
7. Having to explain everything....so curious.
8. Brushing someone else's teeth.
9. 5 and 6 is a sensitive age
10. Hearing noises in the night because of paranoia.
11. Laying the smack down!

We will have kids soon? Maybe maybe not
It's definitely different going from the cool aunt and uncle to "Don't do that! You can't have that! Eat all your dinner!" But we really did love having them, and Kobe still says
"Kelsi...your my bestest aunt!"
Love it.

P.S. Did you know I worked at Disneyworld?

haha still can't believe I did that.

Another One Down

And yet another friend gets married! Lexie Hirschi married her high school sweetheart Nick Sherman. The wedding was wonderful and her reception was BEAUTIFUL!

Caleb and Scott had a dance-off....hilarious!

Congrats LEX so happy for YOU!!!

Just pluggin in a little note for the Local Legends flag football team...so far undefeated. Some of the madison football boys put together a team, it takes them back to their glory days.

Caleb will get ready for the games hours in advance...he lives for it. Everytime we are watching football on T.V. he throws out. "Man, I should be in the NFL right now." This is the closest he is going to get. He is the best flag football quarter back I have ever seen :)

High Five!

I was reading in the Ensign today, and a certain talk caught my eye. "Blessings of the Temple" by Robert D. Hales. I love the temple, I love going to the temple, I love looking at the temple, I love reading about the temple, and I love what occcurs in the temple. Elder Hales has observed many couples who have been able to maintain strong and vital marriages and he gave 5 things that they have in common.

First: These couples know individually who they are--sons and daughters of God. They set eternal goals to once again live with our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. They strive to leave the ways of the natural man behind.

Second: They know the doctrine and the importance of the saving temple ordinances and temple covenants and their necessity in achieving eternal goals.

Third: They choose to obtain the eternal blessings of the kingdom of God rather than the temporary possessions of the world.

Fourth: These couples realize that when they are sealed for time and all eternity, they have chosen an eternal companion--their days for courting others are over! There is no need to look any further!

Fifth: These couples think of one another before themselves. Selfishness suffocates spiritual senses. Communicating with the Lord in prayer, they grow together and not apart. They converse with each other, thereby never letting little things become big things. They talk early about the "little hurts" with little fear of offending. It is so much better to let off a little steam before the top blows off the pressure cooker. They are willing to apologize and ask forgiveness if they have hurt the one they love. They express their love for each other and become closer. They life and strengthen one another.

I want to be one of those couples. I love finding areas of life that I need to work on, and marriage takes you into a whole new area of work. And not to say our marriage needs work, but I need work. And I'm SO grateful that I am with someone who is so loving, gentle, kind and patient with me as I strive to do my best as an eternal companion.

Aren't we all exciting for conference!? Where MUCH more is added to our list of improvement. :)
