V-day Get-A-WAY!!

First a quick run-down. Our regional manager at pinnacle took all his managers and their wives to Cancun to an all inclusive resort for 4 days over Valentines day, can't think of a more romantic place to be with the love of my life. We feel so lucky to be able to do something like this so soon in our marriage. We had such a good time, made lots of new friends and ate way too much food!
Highlights of our cancun trip:

Plane rides with TVs and mini meals; as well as a nervous Caleb every time.
Late night walks on the beach
The 5th Avenue of Mexico
Snorkling in a sweet cave
Caleb panicked when he realized he couldn't touch and he forgot to blow up his life jacket: hilarious story if you want me to give you a real life version-we can laugh about it now ;)
Zip-lining: highly recommend it! Funnest thing i've done yet
Caleb (being afraid of heights) absolutely loved it!
Tulum:One of the most gorgeous things i've ever seen
Repelling: super scary if you look down. Cabe chose not to do it.
With my lover at the top of a tower in the middle of the mexican jungle.
(Thanks everyone for telling me that my hat was on BACKWARDS!) no wonder cabe kept saying mine looked weird
The beach at Tulum
Kickin it with brett and misty
Multiple sights that you very much want to erase out of your mind
Latin dancing at the resort
Late nights around the resort
V-day with my Valentine
Brazilian dinner with some of the pinn crew
Having the disco club all to ourselves (pinnacle people only)
cabe dancing non stop for an hour straight= straight comedy
The view from off our balcony
Cabe woke up with a lip the size of a hot dog: weird...but funny
All you can eat buffets....and free...how?
The chiddix region getting ready to head out. This was only half of us that were there.
Misty doesn't know that I have this on video...but she will soon find out:

A Superb Bowl

Last minute super bowl party was a success thanks the Landon and SJ.
We decided the night before to throw something together and Sarah did an excellent job, every one came through and we had delicious food which is all the matters to me...oh and the game was good too. ;)

Annie and Ty Colts all the way
Saints vs colts
colts vs saints
colts vs saints
The devils...I mean saints came through with the win
Whatever....(colt loser fans)
Even though the Colts lost there is nothin better than food at the beginning...middle...and end of a game.

We are currently obsessed with our records on the 60 seconds shot clock...check out the scores.
Note that cooper is 6 and he record is 120. Incredible.
Records were broke last night as we were all very determined

Back in Action

What a glorious site to see. His cast is finally off! And he's back to snow shoveling duty...:)
I wish I would have recorded his slip into the splits prior to this picture. I guess sunday shoes don't have the best traction :)
I cried off all my make-up from laughter and he almost broke his hand again:
But we made it to church on time ;)

Kids Today....

When they tell me that they have created a concert for us....not exactly what I expected!

Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.

What would you do without a right hand?

I miss a husband with 2 hands.

I really took advantage of my husbands strength:
I miss him shoveling the snow, carrying in all the groceries at once, lifting heavy things for me, holding my left hand, doing the dishes, writing me notes, making his own tuna sandwiches (they just smell bad).

The first thing that broke his heart was that he wouldn't be able to lift weights...then I mentioned school and basketball....he was even more depressed.

Note to basketball diehards: Don't dive for the ball...it just isn't worth it.

*He broke 2 bones in his hand diving for a ball at a basketball tournament that was far too aggressive. A very large man landed on him.

I am sure grateful for 2 Hands. :)

Home for the Holidays

Highlights of our first Christmas:

Big Christmas Eve dinner
The "goon"ness that christmas brings
Being Mary & Joseph
(It's okay to laugh at this picture)
Waiting on the stairs to see what santa brought. The suspense is killing us.
Stuffing Stockings for the first time

Waiting to open...one at a time :)

The best Christmas present I have ever received. A violin.
Caleb makes my dreams come true. I bawled.

Temple trip with the fam the day after Christmas
Breakfast at Smittys!
We both got instruments that we don't know how to play yet. But we will be performing next year. :)
Need I say that this was probably the best Christmas of all time. It may be because I spent it with my BFF, and my fam...could be because I get to try and achieve the dream of playing the violin....or maybe every Christmas is the best because it is the happiest time of year. All leading back to the Birth of our Savior. That had to be the happiest time for those that witnessed such a wonderful occasion that they had been waiting for, and to think of the reason why Christmas came to be......No wonder we are all happy this time of year.

We may be sad that the Christmas Season is over, but i'm sure glad that it came to be.

Brady: got a bag full of goods...panties, capn crunch in a baggy ect.

mitch & Roz: brought great gifts and left with bingo and a puzzle.

Spreading Holiday Cheer!

I have been dying to post these pictures. We had to wait till our families received our wonderful christmas cards with these lovely pics on them. Whit took them for us at the school studio...it looks like we went and got them professionally done! That is what is so hilarious about it. Whit is amazing and these pics are priceless. I wish I could have video taped our family's reactions to opening the cards. We had a good time, and cabe is a natural at this cheesy stuff...he was enjoying it a little too much!

This is my fav!

We hope you all have a wonderful Holiday Season
filled with Good Cheer!!
