Happy Birthday Momma Lu, Marva Moo, Marvs, ML, Larva Moo!
I love Birthdays...one day each year that you can celebrate a person you love and think about why you are so glad they were brought into this world. I love how the older I get the closer I get to my mother. You fully depend on your parents when you are growing up but you don't realize until you are off on your own and married how much you really did depend on them. Your mother turns into your best friend, your mentor, your advice. If I do everything that she has taught me and continues to teach me... Maybe just maybe I can be something like her. You don't find many like her. She's the most incredible person I know right next to my dad. If perfect could exist here on earth, she would be the definition. She has the biggest heart, nothing but righteous desires, she never once has thought of herself before others, she's a wonderful teacher, example, friend, and most importantly the best mom! I know that is why the Lord is blessing our family with so many little ones because we have such a wonderful mom and grandma that still has so much to teach us all. I'm so glad that the Lord put me under her responsibility :) March 8th is one special day!
Kelsi, what a sweet tribute to your mom! I love her too. What a "Marva"lous woman (couldn't resist). I found the same thing with my own mom...I grew to love her more when I got married and became a mom myself. Then I understood why she did some of the things she did. What a cute pic of you both!
ReplyDeleteI know it's August and you posted this in March, but I've been looking all through your blog and it's so cute! I just have to say, that was the most incredible honor you just gave your mom. And since I'm her sister I know that all of it is true! I'm so sad we haven't been able to live closer because she would be one of my best friends and I would want to hang out with her all the time. I love her and miss her.
